David S. Surman R.Ac, R.TCMP is a registered Acupuncturist and a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner. Recently Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine have established a new College in Ontario called The College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO), which David has qualified for and is now practicing under. He can now give receipts with his Registration number on it, and those who have extended health care can submit it to their insurance for reimbursement.
David is also a practitioner of Shiatsu Therapy, Qigong, T’ai Chi Ch’uan and Thai Massage. His treatments integrate modalities from these various healing systems and may include: Moxibustion, Cupping, Herbal medicine, Acupressure, Shiatsu, Northern Thai Style Passive Yoga Stretching and Qigong Healing.
David recently returned from a 4 year sabbatical in China and South East Asia where he spent time doing Post-Graduate studies in Eastern Medicine, language and culture as well as traveling extensively throughout the region.
David is happy to announce his return to Toronto, especially as he has re-established a practice at Holistica Wellness Clinic – close to Cabbagetown where he ran the Innerqi Centre for Eastern Medicine for over 10 years.
Besides a medical practice, David also teaches Taijiquan, Qigong and Herbology classes at various schools, clinics and other locations throughout the city. Private instruction is available.)
